We need more help to monitor the planning situation around Noel Park and Wood Green. Developments are taking place all around us which need urgent input from residents to ensure our environment and neighbourhood is protected.

Noel Park is losing out. Areas such as Muswell Hill and Green Lanes have been allocated grants of over £100,000 for the improvement of their high street among other initiatives but Wood Green has been left out in spite of the looting that took place this year.

If we are to see improvements in Noel Park and the situation turned around, more residents need to speak up as a group.

If not, we will face the risk of “SHOPPING CITY” becoming “BETTING CITY” and we will lose the value in our homes with the deterioration of our neighbourhood.

More hands are needed and if you can help, please email us noelpark.nara@gmail.com.

See update below *.

DO YOU CARE HOW DEVELOPMENT IN NOEL PARK TAKES SHAPE?

ARE YOU AWARE THE PROPOSED CHANGES IN LAW WILL MEAN WE GET THE OPPORTUNITY TO HAVE A BIGGER SAY IN HOW DEVELOPMENT IN NOEL PARK TAKES SHAPE?

ALL DEVELOPMENT WILL HAVE AN IMPACT ON OUR NEIGHBOURHOOD AND OUR LIVES.

An example will be the HEARTLANDS PROJECT on the other side of the High Road which will

1. ADD OVER 1,000 NEW HOMES TO WOOD GREEN

2. HAVE PLANNING APPLICATIONS THAT GIVE NO CLEAR COMMITMENT TO

a) GOOD COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT

b) GOOD QUALITY HOUSING ESPECIALLY SOCIAL HOUSING

c) CONSIDERATION FOR DEVELOPMENT OF TRANSPORT INFRASTRUCTURE, eg. ROADS, BUSES, TUBE, PEDESTRIAN

d) PROPER PROVISION FOR GREEN SPACES

THERE ARE OTHER MAJOR DEVELOPMENTS IN THE PIPELINE.

FORMING OUR OWN PLANNING COMMITTEE WILL MAKE SURE WE RESIDENTS HAVE A SAY IN ALL OF THIS. IT WILL ALSO MAKE SURE WE HAVE GOOD DEVELOPMENT WHICH WILL BENEFIT THE COMMUNITY.

YOUR NEIGHBOURHOOD NEEDS YOU!!!
